It took me a solid two years (and then some) to get around to painting up my "Choctaw". Once I finally got started, they really only took about a week or so, but two years to get to them was murder. They're finished and I'm fairly pleased.
The figs are 40mm Native Americans from Sash and Saber Castings. Way back when, we were talking some skirmish level French & Indian War in 40mm, and typing it here now, it still sounds like a pretty good idea! I'd like to add, maybe, ten more figs to my scouting band; five French Couereurs de Bois, and I'd like to add five more Native Americans, but armed with maybe bows or hand weapons. It'd give me a twenty strong 'warband' perfect for skirmishing during the Seven Years War! I'm just getting started...

Originally I had gone with the Choctaw tribe, but I wanted a tribe closer to the Great Lakes theater during the war, I came across the name Mi'kmaq, and that kind of sealed the deal. I've got a lot of projects going on all of the sudden...
