The same year I was born, Gary Gygax created Dungeons and Dragons. Now, thirty-three years later, he's passed away. His impact, influence, contributions, vision, the whole works, impacts pretty much every facet of gaming today. True, Tolkien laid some serious groundwork back in the day, but Gygax made the mythos into a game. I have to admit that I'm more than a little sad at his passing.
