Thor's Day Hero: Butters

I'm not a huge South Park fan, never really was, but when I would hear someone talk about a particularly funny episode I would invariably find it, watch, and laugh for about twenty minutes straight. I'm no stranger to the show either and of all the characters, Butters has to be my favorite. He is the perpetually innocent and when the other characters are going off the deep end and cursing like sailors, he toes the line and gives a few "aww shucks" or couple of "oh hamburgers!" He did a brief stint as a maniacal supervillain as well, a villain that is still at the top of the wanted charts for the South Park police. Overall Butters is that likable 'buddy' you always want to have around. Admission here to the Thor's Day Heroes is a shoe-in, I just worry what might happen if he comes across Sarah Connor on a bad day.

  1. Oh butters stotch. I remember the episode where his parents thought he had died, and mourned him. Then he comes back, having never died of course, and they treat him like he is some sort of undead abomination that they kept secret in their basement. They even found a random stranger, killed her, and dumped her in the basement for him to 'feed'. I crack up every single time.

    1. Leopold "Butters" Stotch is one the best names ever! The wife and I joke about naming our first-born after him. No imminent plans made though. The name will most likely go to the next adorable puppy we adopt.

    2. Heh, I remember that episode Jared, too funny, I still crack up when I think about it.

Miller, that would make a great name...for human or beast!

  2. +1 to butters. Season 8 Episode 1 "Good Times with Weapons" is one of my favorite episodes. You get to see the "real" Captain Chaos (Butters) ala anime style taking a well placed ninja star to the eye. Another good one is "Lil' Crime Stoppers" Season 7 Episode 6 where the kids are playing cops n' robbers and butters is told to produce a semen sample and doesn't reappear until the very end of the episode after everyone forgot about him, sample produced.
