Ye Olde Wishlist

That's a lot of consumerism!

I know, I know, it's a shameless plug, totally self-serving, but tomorrow is my birthday and I've been racking up quite a wish list as of late and I thought I'd share it for posterity. It seems, when your hobbies are geeky in nature, you're never finished though, you should note this doesn't even scratch the surface! It's funny that I'm thirty five years old, yet my list reads like that of ten year old, for the most part anyways.

Disclaimer: This list is for spectator purposes only, whatever you do, don't rush out to your local UPS Store and ship anything overnight, haha!

  1. That looks like a pretty geeky birthday list. I got mainly clothes this year but did slip in a box of vanguard and 2 blood bowl boosters.

  2. Gears of War 2 is immense! I've completed it on every difficulty... and Horde is awsome... multi-player ain't that great, but a MUST!

  3. I can say for Dark Heresy-related bits...

Creatures Anathema is a pretty sweet book. I'm GMing a campaign, and it's got some solid inspiration. Of course, if you're mad at your players, you could always make them 'hunt' a Lictor. (By that I mean feed it. Themselves. Because it'll hurt you bad).

The inquisitor's handbook gives you some variety in gear, and fills in some of the gaps I wasn't necessarily expecting in the core book. Finally, force weapons (For you intrepid psykers out there that actually want to hit it...). and hellguns. And, of course, more ideas to use/inflict on your people.

  4. Hey! You seriously need to get Gears of War 2, if only for the Hordes mode. Playing Hordes with long-distance buddies has been a complete blast, and a great way to shorten distances.

  6. @Rucht: My XBox Live account is dead in the water, hopefully by the time it's up and running, I'll have GoW Dos as well and we'll fire it up! When are you coming to town next? And why haven't you used the awesome custom banner blog I made especially for you?!?!?!?

@Shelexie: Thanks! This post was kind of a joke between my wife and I anyway (trying to get her to actually read her husband's blog is a chore!) but hopefully I can score soemthing off of it!

@Peter: Well, I'll get it either sooner, or later...but I will be getting it, thanks to endorsements like yours!

@Raptor1313: Long time no see! I've enjoyed DH quite a bit, it took me a while at first, but I'm digging it quite a bit now.

  7. From me you get a bourbon-flavored cheesecake and a singing Hannah Montana card.

They aren't on your list, 'though.
