Ultramarines Army

Here's my Ultramarines army in all their glory. Sadly, they collect a lot of dust because they are so neglected on the tabletop! This is a pretty vintage army to boot, all of the models are second edition, the tactical marines being little more than board game pieces from the 2nd edition boxed set. Also, my terminators aren't on 40mm bases, but that's all right. The scouts are a real blast from the past, with their mohawk-mullets! I tallied this army up with the newest 5th edition codex and if you count all three HQ choices, ahem, it equals 1500 points exactly. There's a lot of good stuff in here, enjoy!

HQ:

Chief Librarian Tigurius

Space Marine Librarian

Space Marine Captain

Elites:

Dreadnought

Techmarine

Terminator Squad

Troops:

Tactical Squad Alpha

Tactical Squad Beta

Space Marine Scouts

Heavy Support:

Predator Tank

  1. I have some of those same minis =) Glad to see these guys! I hope they get a little table top action, just for the fun of it.

  2. Thanks, we've got some old school figs indeed! They'll see some action every now and then just for the heck of it.

We still have a couple of armies to go; tomorrow is the Dark Angels army post, and then Wednesday will be Tau.

  3. Reminds me of the first time I played 40K. I used my buddies Ultra Marines and he had many of those same models. I still have one of those Dreadnoughts and he will be making an appearance in my Imperial Fists.

  4. The Dreadnought cracks me up, every time I pick it up it catches me off guard because the thing weighs a ton!

I'll keep an eye out for yer yeller Dread!

  5. Heh, loving these old school guys.
Too bad about the 3 hq thing, wondering if the captain could "counts as" something else - maybe Telion?

  6. I have fond memories of those tactical guys, from the 2nd edition boxed set as I recall. Somewhere I have an Ork army made up of the other figures from that set. I thoroughly approve of the old-school Scouts too. The only flaw in this army is that you've got no Mk VI armour in there! ;)

  8. @Tristan: Telion's not a bad idea, and I've already got the Scouts to boot.

@kelvingreen: Thanks. Check back tomorrow, my Dark Angels army has a beaky squad in it!

@John: Yeah, it was nice to break these guys out and dust them off!
