Workbench WIP

I know, shocking, there's stuff on my desk that's in a state of...being painted! This part's probably not as shocking, but you may have guessed these Infinity models aren't anywhere remotely close to my Projects HUD that I have hyped so much in the past either. They're not done but as you can see, they're very close.

I'll get some proper pics up with a real camera soon, right after I paint the bases and go through the finishing touches stage. I am breaking my 'one post a day' rule seeing how Thor's Day Hero will be here in a few hours but this is kind of breaking news I guess. Also, if you haven't figured this one out either (but I know you have) as a group we are looking down the Infinity barrel, in fact consider it a done deal, so more on that soon as well. I do want a give a shout out to Jeff who sent me an email just last week, encouraging me to get those painting numbers up and to put the "minis" back into Mik's Minis. Hope this filler helps!

  1. I really really like infinity's rules. The ARO system is something to write home about. They do it really well. It's also a pretty cool setting and the minis are beautiful. I expect to see some reviews or battle reports here. I've never played it but i have read through the rules and heard from other people playing.

    1. Same thing with me, I've always drooled over the models, always heard good things about the rules, but never made the plunge.

It has generated a lot of interest quite quickly here with the group so yes, expect to see mucho bat-reps, reviews, and more.

    1. It'll still only have me at single digits for figs painted so far, but I share your sentiment!

  5. Fast indeed! Awesome to see you getting started this quick. I like the look of the bone while colour scheme you got going. Even the plasma Charontid looks good, even though it's one of the Infinity models I like less. :)

Definitely looking forward to reading about your thoughts about Infinity. Personally it's my favourite miniature game.

Might be worth mentioning that there are new quick start rules available for download on the homepage (as well as the full rules of course).

    1. Thanks Martin, finished them last night! I'm not a big fan of the looks of either the Charontid or the Malignos to be honest but I was happy with how they came out.

I've been reading the fan re-edit rules, but may just stick to the Quickstart ones. Now I've got these six painted I want to do up some more and I haven't even rolled dice yet!

Good to see you shake off the ring rust and put the mini back into Mik's minis!

    1. Thanks Spacejacker! Yeah, that was some slump I was in. I'm not in the clear yet, I've got about 200 more figs to paint this year to back up my bold statements, we'll have to see. One fig at a time...
