Dungeons and Diesel

Thanks to fellow blogger Mild Colonial Boy, Esquire I became privy to the fact that action sci-fi actor Vin Diesel has been coming out of the geek closet quite a bit lately. I gotta say, he'd be the last one I thought I'd see on a talk show speak so reverently about his character too. These clips are pretty nifty, check 'em out.

  1. I knew he had a gaming company but DnD also is pretty over the top.

  2. Yeah, I'd also heard about this but never seen any evidence of it.

It's great how human it makes the guy seem - I'm the second clip you can see he really thought the game improved him. Its quite an admission given his film image.

Good finds, cheers for posting them.

  3. Classic! My partner looks at me funny when I'm reading the WFRP rulebook (just getting into it) and has a massive crush on him, so I'll be sure to show her this!

  4. I like how it's obviously not just for show, when he talks about his DnD character in the Kimmel clip you can tell he's invested a lot of time playing him. Yeah, these were kind of some eye openers for me too.

  5. It makes you wonder who else is in the Geek Closet? I've heard that Robin Williams has/had and Eldar army, but that could be an urban/GW myth?
