A Smattering of Series 9

Series ten, that I already posted, is very cool with great figs. Let's not overlook the series 9 Lego figs though!

Right off the bat I just absolutely love the chicken suit man. He may be one of my faves out of all the series to be frank. Admittedly he is a bit of a "unitasker" with those chicken wing arms, but even those are cool.

So why the mermaid? She has great hair, a mermaid lower torso, and a neat starfish. So why NOT the mermaid?

Next up is the Space Orc, complete with heavy armor, helmet, and blaster pistol. This is a good fig, with a great face and cool details painted on the armor's pauldrons. The torso armor is thick enough to pick out from the blind bags as well making him a great army builder fig.

The club wielding ogre rounds this bunch out. He's a monster through and through, no man in a suit here. He's got great torso printing a comes with a small club ala the caveman. His best feature is his "helmet" that gives him a proper ogres head. Also, the cyclops head without the helmet is cool.

That's all for now, enjoy!

EDIT: Heh, that's not all for now!  I picked up this Space (Power) Ranger so long ago, thanks to Miller, that I forgot he was part of series 9!  Anyway, great fig with nice armor and a fantastic helmet. Plus, its just got a great overall sci-fi vibe.

Okay, so I think that really is all for now!

  1. I loved the cyclops, but found myself at a loss for what to do with the chicken suit guy. I think I gave it to my wife.

  2. Strangely the chicken-guy, mermaid and space orc were the ones I got from this series.

Haven't seen Series 10 over here yet.

    1. Series 10 has a good amount of must-have figs, but I like series 9 just as much.

  3. I got 12 of the Space Orcs, it was the one I could reliably 'feel' through the packaging, except for the Mermaid I pulled early on.

    1. The Power Ranger has a similar armour piece. That's what I was feeling for when I ended up with two space orcs. I wanted one for my giant monster gaming.

    2. I did get the power ranger too, but he was a while back. I may edit the post for posterity. The only series 9 I still "need" is the 'Brave' girl.

    3. Yeah, I did pick up one of the power ranger too, as Kap'n K'bold says, the biggest pieces are similar in feel.

  4. I really wish the guy in the chicken suit had hands, he's screaming out for a piece of brickarms heavy artillery.

    2. Yep, despite our dollar being about the same, that Deadpool set is forty bucks here. Good to see you posting, I have been quiet for a very long time now myself.
